The CoMRAde project shares the common ground with recently concluded Tapas (FP7-260026), Valeri (FP7-314774), and 3rd Hand (FP7-ICT-10610878) projects in enabling robots to assist workers. However, CoMRAde constructs the missing building block in assistive robotic technology through the use of human-to-robot skill acquisition techniques with physical interactions for easy and direct robot reconfiguration. Robot reconfiguration can be performed by layman workers with no engineering background. With the successful completion of the project, a crucial building block will be built for human-centred robotic automation, which is of importance in keeping the manufacturing jobs in EU.
